Do people still “cut” CDs ? Regardless, I’m at work on an audio recording of songs and meditations combining different elements of the ancient spiritual practices that have led me in finding healing and direction in life.
Meditation can be a very subjective, seemingly ethereal pursuit, especially for people new to the practice. Interestingly, it’s actually easy to begin meditating if one grasps some of the basic constructs involved. The goal is not to put a stop to the mental roil, but rather to observe the workings of the mind from a more focused vantage point, strengthening concentration, fostering relaxation and the allowing for the workings of insight to arise.
With that in uh, mind, I’m constructing this very straightforward series of guided meditative techniques to assist people in cutting through their own preconceived notions and resistance to sitting still to begin meditating and reaping its benefits almost immediately.
